There are four basic types of press brakes: part revolution press brakes , hydraulic press brakes, hydra-mechanical press brakes , and mechanical-friction clutch press brakes . These Press Brake machines form parts using dies attached to a plate type ram or slide and a plate-type bed. The press brake tools are mechanically or hydraulically powered and are primarily used for bending and forming sheet metal. Usually metal is placed into the bottom of the press brake machine on a bottom die which is then struck by a top die which is attached to a movable ram.
